In each of these areas Venture North has a number of exclusive limited permits and agreements which allow clients to experience some of the best Aboriginal art and occupation shelters, Barramundi and blue water fishing coupled with spectacular wildlife and scenery.Our destinations are often referred to as the richest and most plentiful.

Brendan Bainbridge, Savannah Guide and owner / operator of Venture North, is a local born person, who takes pride in everything people see and experience on their Territory visit. A lifetime of visiting and living in such places as Kakadu and Arnhemland has allowed Brendan to make and maintain close relationships and understanding with many of the areas traditional owners.

After studying Parks and Wildlife Management Brendan moved into Tourism as a guide in 1991 and has since 1996 developed Venture North.

Venture North aims at showing visitors the best of what they want to see and do for the particular time of year they choose to visit. Tours are conducted in GXL Landcruisers and are limited to 6/7 passengers. To enhance your holiday we say "there is no better way to experience it than with a local".

Venture North operates 12 months of the year, as we consider the wet season one of the most exciting times to visit. Don't let the word wet put you off either as it usually only rains once a day for most of the wet season and can be accompanied by some spectacular light shows. The end of the wet is also the best time of year for Barramundi fishing.

Venture North is primarily a private charter company, due to demand we now offer reasonably priced regular 3 and 5 day tour departures to the Cobourg Peninsula from Kakadu and Darwin.
